Quis DSL Parser Examples

As a data filtering language, Quis provides two core functions, compile() and evaluate(), for filtering structured data.

Filtering Complex Data

A directory of twelve employees with multiple fields. compile() parses the expression once and returns a reusable predicate — each row is then tested by calling that function with the row as its context, with no re-parsing on each iteration.

Try:
Name Age Department Role Status Salary Years

No employees match that expression.

Narrative Sorting

A library of ten tabletop RPG encounters, each tagged with a setting, type, difficulty, and reward tier. Use a Quis expression to surface exactly the encounters you need — forest encounters with treasure, easy starter quests, or high-reward boss fights above a certain level.

Try:

No encounters match that expression.

Recipe Book Search

Twelve recipes across six cuisines. Express dietary requirements, time budgets, and calorie targets as DSL expressions instead of building a multi-checkbox UI — and combine any criteria ad-hoc without new UI code.
